4 week block: 30/05 06/06 13/06 20/06 ______________________________ Talented toddlers - toddler and me musical theatre classes. 18months- 3 years The Talented toddlers class introduces the structure of a performing arts class in a fun and imaginative way. There is a strong emphasis on rhythm and moving to the beat, song, drama with storytelling and creativity. Exercises are often linked with shapes, colours or numbers, to enhance cognitive awareness and learning landmarks outlined in the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages) guidelines. Children learn to follow instruction and develop gross motor skills further, such as walking and running at different speeds, galloping, jumping etc. Children submerge themselves in their imaginations in the storytime section and move to the musical theatre beat in dance, where even the grown ups get up and dance! At the end of the class the children get to chill out in the sensory cool down. The structure of the class is as follows; Warm-up Stretch Centre exercise; introduces and develops primary movement skills Music section Storytime section Talented tots Musical theatre madness Sensory cool down This is the ideal class for children wishing to attend with a parent before advancing into our mini performers 3-6 years classes in our main TPA academy.
